The Adonis Mission (Chapter 20) Tragedy, Hope and New Beginnings

Sunday, July 22nd
Cape Neddick, Maine

After Jon had retrieved Alexis from the airport they had eaten a brief breakfast and were now strolling along the Yorks. Alexis was chattering on about her recent trip to New York and how she had come down with some mysterious 24 hour bug and they'd had to cancel the book signing and talk show appearance and reschedule in two weeks.

Jon was just glad to have her home. Even though she'd been gone but for two days he'd missed her. Today his kids would be coming and he could tell through Alexis' chatter that she was nervous about meeting them for the first time.

"Hey babe, we'd better get our butts in gear," he said. "The kids plane will be coming in about an hour from now."

Alexis stopped and turned to him, a slightly worried look in her blue green eyes. Jon seeing that pulled her close and said, "Please don't be worried love. It's all gonna be just fine. Trust ol' Johnny here."

She smiled at him as his mouth found hers and they kissed deeply. Then arms around each other, they walked back to his house.

Shortly thereafter they left the house and got into the limo on their way to the airport...

* * *

Later that afternoon Olivia had just gotten off the phone with Richie and told him she was on her way to the airport. She said the limo should be there in about 45 minutes to an hour and then afterward she hurried downstairs and left.
She called Alexis on the way and when her sister answered she could hear the sounds of kids voices in the background.

"Hey sis, so what do you think of Jon's kids?" she asked. "Is everything going okay?"
"Well," Alexis replied "It's obvious they've had good upbringing. Jacob and Jesse seem very sweet and at least they've been talking to me. Romeo seems to be just fine with me. He told me I was 'boo ful,' Alexis laughed.
"Well at least we know there's nothing wrong with his eyes," Olivia joked.
"But what about Stephanie?"
"Well," Alexis said, "She's been polite enough but kind of quiet. I think it may take some time with her. After all I'm sure it seems strange to her to see her dad involved with another woman, you know?"
Olivia said she understood. Then they talked for a bit and she said her and Richie would come over when they got back and the girls then said goodbye.

* * *

By 7pm that evening Alexis and Jon were out on the patio, while all three of his boys were on the lawn playing frisbee.
Stephanie was sitting on the edge of the patio talking to one of her friends on the phone as Jon and Alexis talked.
Jon was saying, "I can tell all four like you Alex. I told you, you had nothing to worry about didn't I?"
Alexis whispered, "Well I'm not too sure about Stephanie, as she hasn't talked a whole lot."
"It will just take a little time with her, don't worry, she just needs to get to know you for a bit," Jon told her.

Just then his cell phone went off. He picked it up off of the umbrella table, and answered. His cheery smiling face suddenly got very somber and he said, "When?"
Alexis seeing a grave look on his face, said, "What is it?"
But Jon didn't answer, he instead quietly closed the phone and turned and looked at her.
He looked like he had suddenly aged by at least ten years.

"That was the hospital in Augustus. There's been an accident Alex." His voice was shaking and Alexis had a burning feeling in her stomach.
She stood up as did Jon. She turned her back to him. "Is it Olivia?" she asked her voice trembling.

"On her way to the airport the limo was hit by an out of control semi truck," Jon answered. Alexis turned and faced him then. His eyes told her there was more.
"Then we'd better get to the hospital Jon," she said and turned to start back into the house, but Jon stopped her.
"Alex," he said pulling her close and whispering in her ear. He hesitated briefly and then said, "She didn't make it, baby, Jesus, I'm so fucking sorry."

Alexis froze in his arms and then pulled away to look at his face. "Are you saying, that my sister's dead?" As tears glimmered in Jon's eyes, he nodded and Alexis felt a huge sob wrench out of her throat as she said, "No, Oh God no!"

She swayed on her feet as the sobs started, huge wrenching sobs, that absolutely curdled Jon's insides. All of his kids stopped, stunned and were looking at the both of them. Jon picked Alexis up in his arms as she continued to cry her face buried in his shoulder. On his way back into the house he yelled back to his daughter, "Stephanie please keep your eyes on Romeo and Jacob!" She nodded her eyes big with curiosity at what had just happened.

Jon quickly carried a sobbing Alexis up the stairs and laid her on their bed. She turned over on her belly and continued to cry. Jon quickly went into the bathroom and opening the medicine cabinet, found a sedative and came back and laid it on the bedside table with a glass of water.

He then called the airport and asked them to page Richie Sambora. How in the hell was he going to tell Richie that Olivia was dead, he wondered....

* * *

Twenty minutes later Jon had gotten Alexis to take the sedative and she was now sleeping. He had just gotten off the phone with Richie and somehow managed not to tell him what happened. He simply said, the limo would be late and to just wait. He then had Fran keep an eye on Alex and the kids and left for the airport.

When he got there, he found Richie in the waiting area. Richie took one look at his face and said, "What the fuck is going on bro?
Why has it taken two hours for someone to pick me up? And where the hell is Olivia?" Richie had this rather sick feeling in his stomach fearing the worst. He had known Jon for over twenty-five years and he knew all Jon's expressions. The one currently showing was a combination between, sadness, fear and great sympathy.

"Let's just get outta here first Rich," Jon said. They grabbed his luggage which Richie had already fetched from baggage and then left the building and got into the limo.

They were both sitting across from one another. Richie said, "Okay, so tell me where is Olivia? Is she okay?"

Jon took a deep breath and said, "There was an accident on the way to the airport Rich." Richie's face looked strained.
Jon haltingly said, "The limo was hit by a semi truck... head on. The drivers of both vehicles were killed instantly, and... and.."
"Olivia is in the hospital then, right?" Richie asked hopeful.

Jon sighed and then looked him squarely in the eyes, his own eyes full of pain. "I'm so very sorry man, but she didn't make it."

Richie was shocked and didn't say anything for a moment, and then his eyes filled with tears as he said, "She's dead?"

He turned and looked out the window then. "My Liv is dead?"
Jon felt a tear slide out of his eyes as he watched his best friend put his head in his hands.

Quickly he turned to the small bar, and poured two shots of Jack Daniel's whiskey. He waited and after awhile Richie's head came up. Jon had never in all of his life saw Richie look that way. There was so much pain and anguish on his face, that it was almost unbearable to look upon.

"Drink this man," Jon said and handed him the shot. Richie took it with trembling hand and drank it down. Although it didn't stop his grief, it steadied him somewhat.

"I can't believe she's gone. I just talked to her two hours ago, Jon. Sweet Jesus, I loved her!" His voice broke as his eyes filled with tears again. Jon said gently, "I know bro and she loved you too."
Both men sat in silence for awhile and then Richie said, "How is Alexis handling this?"
"She had to be sedated, she was sleeping when I left," Jon told him.
Silence reigned again, the rest of the way and finally the limo pulled into Jon's driveway.

Both of them went indoors. Richie quickly hurried up to his guest room. He needed to be alone and after Jon checked on his kids finding them all in the family room and basically explaining to Stephanie, Jesse and Jacob that there had been a death and that it was Alexis' sister he told them he'd return soon and went back up to the master suite.

He walked over to the bed and saw that Alex was still sleeping but he laid down next to her pulling her body up close to his, kissing her hair. My poor darlin' he thought. Just when things were going so great between you and Olivia, now she's gone. He stroked her hair and after a bit kissed her softly and left the room, heading back downstairs to his children.....

* * *

The funeral for Olivia was a bittersweet yet a truly sad affair. Many of their mutual friends came and quite a few business associates of Olivia's as well as a few Aunts, Uncles and cousins. It was an open casket affair and Olivia looked beautiful, as much as someone deceased can.
Alexis if it were not for Jon's support knew she would not have been able to get through the service.

Jon, Alexis and Richie then all spoke each in turn about what Olivia meant to them.

Jon simply stated that he had been very happy that Richie had found love again and Olivia was
a good person and had made his friend very happy. He said he would miss her.

Alexis said that she had been so happy that her and her sister had put aside their differences and found one another again. She said, "As Olivia's twin I feel like a part of me died right along with her," and then she lost it and Jon had to come up there and lead her sobbing back to her chair.

But it was Richie's words which were the most touching of all. He told them that when they met it was almost love at first sight for him. That in the short time they'd been together he had fallen deeply in love with her and he could see how much she had grown as a person. Her life was back on track, her and her sister had a good relationship, and the both of them wanted to marry and have children. He said he would miss her so much, he missed her right now more than anything. His voice broke and struggling, head bent with his fingers over his eyes, he said, "I love you, Liv. We'll see one another again some day. God rest your soul baby."

Then he stumbled from the podium his face wet with tears as well as everyone else's at the service. Alexis just cried harder into Jon's chest as he stroked her hair, murmuring words of comfort as best as he could.
The service ended with the sounds of the organ playing the beautiful and emotional song, Amazing Grace......

Day, Date, Year Unknown
Titania, The Realm

Kronos and Eos were watching the events unfold on his block for the Adonis Mission. "So it has officially happened," he told Eos.

Both of the deities felt much sympathy for those mortals who had to grapple with a death of a loved one, but knew that the three of them were strong and would eventually get through this tragedy.

After a bit, Kronos went to his desk and Eos sat down in the chair in front of it.

"I am still stunned though at Zeus' verdict for Deianera," she said. "It is my opinion she has gotten off lightly."

Kronos thought about the hearing that both of them had attended. Zeus ruled because of Deianera's great love for Jon, and the fact that she was punished greatly already, finding out that hers and Jon's child would not survive and she would never even see it, he felt that this was punishment enough. So he did not send her nor her Mother to the Underworld but instead allowed them both to remain in Titania. However both were stripped of the powers for at least eight years earth time.

Hekate had been overjoyed to know she would at least be able to still live in the beautiful higher realm and maintain her house and property. Deianera had sunk into a deep depression, and it was hard to know if she was relieved or not. However Hekate vowed to try and help her daughter find some kind of happiness. That was her new goal. There were plenty of Gods in the realm. She wanted her daughter to find love and find someone who could love her back. So she vowed to devote most of her time to trying to make this come true.

Right now, though Deianera still retained her palace she was staying with Hekate, as her Mother was concerned about her and wanted to try and help her recover from this horrible ordeal as well as to help her move forward so that she could heal eventually.

Kronos had been leafing through the prophecy book his mind lost in thought. He suddenly looked up and said to Eos, "There's another new prophecy here."
"What does it say?" Eos asked feeling a flutter of fear as most of them had been upsetting.

"It says, "A pregnancy will happen soon."

Eos stared at Kronos and then smiled suddenly. "Oh Kronos, Alexandria will become pregnant?"
"Well we can't be sure but, I would assume that the prophecy must mean her for who else could it be?"

Kronos closed the book and then said, "Would you like a cup of tea, Goddess? I'll get Rhea to whip up some of her tiny delicious little cakes as well."

Eos still smiling said that would be delightful and they both stood and left the room, heading for the outdoors and the lovely terrace, each suddenly in very happy frame of mind....

EPILOGUE

And so The Adonis Mission was a complete success. Two weeks after the death of Olivia, Alexis woke up one morning with morning sickness. She was amazed to find out that she was pregnant. Her doctor told her the pill was not 100% effective as many people thought.
When Alexis got over the shock she was actually quite happy about it yet a bit concerned about Jon's reaction, but she needn't be. Jon was thrilled, and promptly asked her to marry him, in which she said yes, crying and laughing...

Thalia having done her part in the mission's success was rewarded. Her choice of course was to be with Jahn Bontykir. She opted to amalgamate permanently with her past life self, Tasha, and was now living her life in Jahn's time.

It was two years later from the time Alexis had given birth. Jon had bought the house that he had formerly been renting. He decided he loved the area and it had wonderful memories for him. So Alexis had put her own house up on the market, and after their wedding she had moved in with Jon in his huge estate.

This day they were out on the lawn flanking the Yorks. Their son, named Justin Oliver was having his 2nd birthday.

He was a beautiful toddler, strong, healthy and beyond his years, with pale blond hair cut to match his 5 year old brother Romeo's, (the bowl cut) which was who he was playing ball with at the moment.

Alexis and Stephanie were sitting in the rose garden and Stephanie was telling her about her newest boyfriend. Not long after Jon had announced he was marrying again to the children, Stephanie became more interested in her soon to be stepmother, and soon surprising to no one but Alexis they became close. Plus Stephanie loved Justin just like a sister should, and Jesse and Jacob were even charmed by the little fellow. They were glad to have another brother.

Suddenly Romeo who tore by his Dad saying he had to wee ran into the house and Jon who had been watching Jacob and Jesse playing with a remote control airplane, strolled over to Justin and picked up the ball. He threw it to his son who caught it easily and Jon was amazed how good he was at only 2 years of age. They kept on and Justin didn't miss one ball.
They were having so much fun that they didn't notice the very tall man standing next to a large tree over on the far side of the lawn watching them. But then suddenly Justin announced he had to use the potty and took off. As Jon bent to retrieve the ball, and then stood, he caught a glimmer of something silver shining in the sunlight. He stared and saw the man. He recognized him instantly.

He hurried over and noticed that the man was dressed in a simple pair of jeans and a T shirt. His long dark hair was spilling over his shoulders. His hourglass earring still hung from his ear and that was what had caught Jon's attention.

"Kronos!" Jon said awed as all the memories returned.
"Hello John!" Kronos returned the greeting.

"What brings you here?" Jon asked puzzled.
"Just wanted to see for myself how Justin was doing," Kronos replied. "He is quite beyond his years, isn't he?" the timekeeper asked.
And Jon of course now understood why Justin was so. But then he had a million questions for the timekeeper, which Kronos answered. Mostly about what happened to Deianera, Thalia and others.

Kronos explained leaving out the part about the child and Jon seemed at peace with the sentence Zeus had given to Deianera. Kronos told him, that Deianera had suffered for a long time from severe depression but was doing a lot better. Recently she fell in love with a God from the higher realm and seemed very happy. Jon was happy and relieved as well to hear this.
But then he said, "Kronos I have to ask you something else. When we last saw each other, you knew about Olivia's death didn't you?"
Kronos hesitated and then finally admitted he did.
"But why didn't you tell me or warn me?" Jon asked.
"John, would it have changed anything? When I found out about that prophecy, I wanted to try and prevent it from happening, but my Son forbade me. He felt that to meddle with time further might result in even more disasters. I am sorry that I could do nothing," he finished.

Jon was quiet for a moment. Then Kronos said, "How is Richard?" Although Kronos knew of course having watched a block recently he wanted to hear Jon's opinion.

"He's doing well actually," Jon replied. "A year ago he met someone who helped him with his grief and they fell in love and are married now. She's a great gal named Jennifer Sundquist, a photographer who Richie met while doing a photo shoot."
"So he's happy then?" Kronos asked.
"So much so," Jon said, "That they are expecting their first child together."

Kronos then felt more at peace hearing and seeing the truth in Jon's words and face.

Suddenly both Romeo and Justin returned to the lawn and Jon stiffened. "It's okay John," Kronos said, "I have a cloaking effect going and you're the only one who can see me."

Jon relaxed then but as Romeo picked up the ball, Justin turned and seeing his Dad hurried over on his little toddler legs. "Daddy!" Justin said smiling.
Jon picked him up and then Justin turned his head and stared at Kronos. "Who's he daddy?"

Both Jon and Kronos wore twin looks of surprise on their faces.
"You can see me?" Kronos asked the little boy.

"Uh huh," Justin told him solemnly. "I like that earring!" He pointed at Kronos' ear as both Jon and the Timekeeper chuckled, and said, "Thank you son. And in answer to your question, I'm an old friend of your dad's."
Justin smiled again and then wiggled, signaling that he wanted to get back to his ball game with his brother and Jon put him down...

They watched the young immortal run back over as Romeo threw him a ball and Justin quickly caught it.
"So he already has some power," Kronos commented marveling at the boy.

"Kronos," Jon said, "still watching his son, I have a favor."
Kronos looked at him, his eyes curious. "What is it?"

"I don't want you to erase my memories this time. Is that possible?"

Kronos hesitated thinking about Olivia carrying Jon's child and realized there was no reason he should worry about that. After all it wasn't part of Jon's memories because he'd never knew that fact. He said, "Yes, but are you sure this is what you wish?"
"Positive," Jon said. "You see it's much easier for me knowing all of it and not being mystified as to why my Son is the way he is. Now I know and I don't want that knowledge to disappear."

"But what about Alexandria?" Kronos asked.
"Well I see no need for her to know as of yet, but there may be a time that I feel it is necessary. Is there a way I can contact you? he asked the dark haired man.

Kronos promptly reached inside of his pocket and pulled out the miniature hourglass he had once given Thalia. "Put this in an out of the way place in your study and when you need me just concentrate on the hourglass and say my name."

Jon thanked him and pocketed the hourglass. As Alexis came walking across the lawn, Kronos said goodbye as they shook hands. He then disappeared soundlessly.

Jon turned and walked over and met Alexis half way as she said, "I could have sworn it almost looked like you were shaking hands with someone, yet no one was there." She looked around as her face looked puzzled.

"And why on earth would I be shaking hands with someone who isn't there?" Jon asked his face innocent, with eyebrows raised. "You're imagining things baby."
"I s'pose so," Alexis said laughing shortly.
She said, "Listen in about an hour I'm taking Justin and we're gonna visit Olivia's gravesite. I need to replace some flowers there hon."
"Okay baby, do you want me to come with?" he asked stroking her jaw lightly.
"Nah, I think just me and Justin this time," she said as she thanked him and then took his hand and kissed his fingertips.

He then pulled her close as they kissed lingeringly and then turned to watch the children on what was developing into a very beautiful summer's day.....

THE END

The Adonis Mission (Chapter Nineteen) A Thwarted Plan

Day, Date, Year Unknown
Kronos' Estate,
Titania, The Realm

During Kronos' absence, Zeus sat at his Father's desk and looked through the prophecy book as Gaia and Eos kept their eyes on the immortal block. They were hoping for more contact from Deianera so they could gauge how Alexandria was doing.
But the block instead showed other parts of Titania and many of the deities going about their business.

As Zeus leafed through the pages and was at the very last page, he was just about to close the book when suddenly before his very eyes a sentence appeared. Startled, as he had never heard of this happening before, he quickly read the words. His face reflecting confusion at first, became very grave.

"Eos, Gaia," he called. The two deities turned around as he said, "There is something brand new here."

Both goddesses hurried over and stood before Kronos' desk.

"What does it say, Imminence?" Gaia asked.

Zeus read the words saying,"Tragedy strikes one of the twins with grievous consequences."

The three of them looked at one another as Gaia and Eos sat. After a few seconds, Gaia said, "Tragedy strikes one of the twins? Which one?" Her face as well as Eos' looked very nervous.
"What does this mean your grace?" Eos asked.

"My apologies, Goddesses, but I do not have the answer to your questions," Zeus replied. "We will have to wait until Kronos returns so we can discuss this together."
He then scanned the book again, lost in thought....

Saturday, July 21st
The Millenium Hilton Hotel
New York City, N.Y.

Jon stood up, staring at the man and a second later said, "Kronos! I never thought I'd see you again!"

"You must come with me Jon, for mischief is afoot once again," Kronos replied.

Jon stared at him for a second and then said, "Does this have anything to do with Alex missing?"

"I'm afraid so," Kronos returned. "A rogue goddess has abducted her in return for amnesty for her crimes. Alexandria is being held in a cave in the mountains of Western Titania."

"But why? Why was she taken?" Jon asked, a flicker of fear on his face. "Is she alright?"

"Be assured she is unharmed as the block in my study has proven," Kronos reassured him. "At least she was when I last saw her. And I have no reason to believe Deianera will harm her."

"Deianera?" Jon asked.

Kronos then explained who she was not bringing up the goddess's crimes. Instead he said, "We must leave now for my estate, as I need to gather the others who will be traveling with us."

But Jon needing answers asked, "Wait a minute...What exactly did this Deianera do, and why would she abduct Alex?"

Kronos hesitated, and then said, "I do not have time to discuss it with you. Suffice it to say that she amalgamated with someone she shouldn't have and also seduced a mortal."

"But what does that have to do with Alex?" Jon asked his face wrinkled in a frown. As Kronos tried to formulate his reply suddenly Jon's face went though a transformation of sorts.

Then he remembered. Olivia..... He had made love to Olivia. As his memories became clearer, suddenly it all made sense to him. The mortal Deianera had amalgamated with was Olivia, and he had been the one that she had used a seduction spell on.

He stared at the God his face stunned, so much so that Kronos said, "What troubles you?"

Jon said, "I made love with Olivia. She was the one that Deianera joined with wasn't she?"

Kronos started, suddenly stricken that Jon had this memory. It was his intention that he would only remember the previous ones regarding the rescue mission, not the more recent ones involving Olivia. He must fine tune that memory effect, he thought.

Kronos then admitted that he was correct. He explained to him that when he and the other high deities discovered this, they managed to track down Deianera and her Mother who had assisted her, and that's when she had admitted her crime, fleeing afterward. He also brought Jon up to speed about the contract and also their visit to the Outer Realm. He did not however mention the pregnancy.

Jon had sat back down and had his head in his hands as Kronos talked, overwhelmed not only of his memories of his sexual liaison with Olivia, but everything else the God had told him.

He raised his head and said, "You say she used a spell of seduction? This goddess must be without a conscience to purposefully fuck up so many peoples lives this way, Time Keeper. How will I ever face Richie and not to mention Alex?" he asked, his voice morose.

"Jon, you're not to blame," Kronos said. "You were but a helpless pawn, there was nothing you could do against that kind of power. As for facing the others, once we bring back Alexandria I will remove the memory from you once again. You will have no knowledge of it happening, just as Olivia has no knowledge."

"And that makes it all better?" Jon asked, an angry tone to his voice.

"No, of course it does not," Kronos replied. "But I assure you Deianera will be punished for this. There are several crimes she is guilty of and now this latest one, abducting Alexandria, has been added to the list."

Jon was silent for a few seconds, and then Kronos said, "Jon we must go. We have only a short amount of time to go on this journey and bring Alexandria back."

Jon took a deep breath and then stood again and started walking toward the God.

Then suddenly he stopped, as he thought of something else. "But what about Sydney Green, Alex's editor? She'll be back any moment."

"I've already taken care of Ms. Green," Kronos replied.
He thought back to how he'd found Jon to begin with. Checking at his estate he found that the rock star was not there. Amalgamating briefly with Jon's Swedish servant, he was able to garner from the woman's memory that Jon was headed for the Hilton hotel. Along with that, he had ascertained the information on who he was meeting with, Alexandria's editor, Sydney Green.

Once at the hotel he'd had to stop time briefly so that he could locate Alexandria's and Sydney's rooms in the book and then headed up to the fifth floor. He found the editor's room and entered to find the woman three feet away from the door, obviously on her way out. Walking behind her he started time again and then quickly amalgamated with her. Then setting her cell phone down which she had clutched in her hand he went into the bedroom and laid down on the bed. Then leaving the woman's body, he placed a sleep spell on her which would last for approximately two hours, he explained to Jon.

"But when the woman wakes up she'll remember that Alex is missing," Jon said.
"Do not fear," Kronos replied. "I will erase her memory of that. And once we are successful in bringing Alexandria back, I will insert a false memory of her being too ill to go to the signing."

Jon digested this and then said, "That might work. For Sydney told me when I was on the way to the airport that she had canceled the signing as well as Alex's appearance on the T.V. show tomorrow, after she'd discovered her missing. She also said she didn't tell them that Alex was missing but that she was not feeling well."

"That's perfect," Kronos said, "Once I remove the memory from Ms. Green about Alexandria missing, all she will remember is the reason she'd given the contacts for having to cancel, because Alexandria was suddenly ill," the timekeeper reasoned.

"So let us be off then," he said but as they headed toward the door he stopped.
"Wait. There is one more thing I must take care of."

He disappeared abruptly causing Jon to jerk and then a few seconds later returned, causing Jon to do the same.
Kronos held out his hand saying, "Alexandria's hotel key. It wouldn't do to find it in Ms. Green's room."
He set it on the bureau.

"Now," Kronos said turning. "Are you ready?"

Jon stripped off his leather gloves then and said, "I'm ready. Where's the portal this time?" He looked around the room.
"This way," Kronos replied as they left the room.

As Jon and the deity headed down the hall toward the elevators, Kronos said he would meet him behind the building and then simply walked through the window at the end of the hall.

Jon, hurrying to the elevator pressed the button and as the doors opened he stepped inside. As the elevator doors closed and started it's descent, he thought, once again I'm rescuing you Alex my love. I only pray that you'll be alright until I get there....

* * *

While Zeus and Gaia still poured over the prophecy book, with Eos studying the Immortal block, the portal door at the end of Kronos' study opened and both he and Jon walked into the room.

All conversation stopped as the three other deities stared at the mortal.

Jon stared back, recognizing the male God from when he'd seen him, during his last visit. But the two female goddesses he had never seen before.

Kronos led him over to his desk where Eos had now joined the others. Eos said, "Welcome John Francis. I am Eos, Goddess of the Dawn, and Mother to Thalia." She smiled at him. Jon said hello and then looked at the other female.

Kronos said, "John this is the Earth Mother or Mother Nature as she is sometimes referred to, as well as my own Mother, Gaia."

Jon again said hello, thinking to himself, there really was a Mother Nature? Gaia smiled and returned the greeting as Zeus said, "Greetings mortal!" Then walked around the desk and whispered to Kronos, "I need to discuss something with you Father, regarding a new prophecy."

Kronos then said to the others that he and Zeus must attend to some business and would return shortly.
He then told Jon to have a seat, picking up his prophecy book as he and Zeus then left the room.

Jon sat down in one of the very comfortable arm chairs, as Eos and Gaia did the same. This was the first time Gaia had ever directly seen the mortal and she thought to herself that all of the rumors were true. He was as handsome as Adonis himself and she had more insight now as to why Deianera did what she did.

Gaia and Eos made pleasant conversation with the mortal though he appeared to be nervous, and both reassured him, saying not to worry, that they would soon have Alexandria back safe and sound...

* * *

Meanwhile once inside the prophecy room, Kronos sat at his table and opened the book. He read the latest, his face afterward looking stricken.

"This is the worst news!" he said. "We must find out who the prophecy is speaking of." He stared at Zeus for a moment as his son stared back, both of them lost in thought.

Getting up, Kronos went over to his computer like device and picked up a small thin disc laying nearby. He inserted it into the object and Scout's face lit up on the screen.

Speaking the prophecy directly as written he ordered Scout to do a future check for the next thirty days, giving him coordinates and names. He told him to bring whatever data he could find on anything that would happen to either of the twins. He told him to hurry as speed was of the essence.

Then he walked back over to his table and sat again. "We will have to wait and see what Scout comes up with," he told his son. "But the longer we wait, the more dangerous it is for Alexandria. We only have an hour's left earth time before the editor, Ms. Green will awaken. Alexandria must be back by that time," he said a worry line creasing his forehead.

"Do you think Scout will be able to find this new event?" Zeus asked his Father.
"Let us hope so," Kronos replied, "Otherwise my son, our rescue mission may be too late."

* * *

Twenty minutes later the machine made a beeping noise and both Zeus and Kronos stood and hurried over. Kronos pressed a button as Scout's data was displayed on the screen.

Both deities stared at what was written, their faces registering looks of shock and dismay.

Kronos turned off the screen then and said, turning to Zeus, "We must not let the mortals involved know this news and especially not Alexandria. Better to let them find out as the events unfold."

Kronos thought briefly of going back in time, to try and change the event, but as if Zeus read his mind, he said "As hard as it is for me to say this, I forbid you going back to change the future Kronos. We must let things stand as they are. There has been enough meddling regarding this whole mission."

The two of them then left the room and headed back to Kronos' study....

Just before midnight Olivia was talking to Richie on the phone, sitting cross legged on her bed.
"I miss you so much Richie," Olivia said. "I'm so looking forward to seeing you tomorrow."
"I know hon, I miss you too," Richie told her. "So my plane should be in around six pm okay? I already called the limo and the driver should pick you up around 5:00."

They talked a little longer and then they said goodbye as Olivia closed her phone.
Removing her robe she climbed into bed. After a while of tossing and turning she finally fell into a fitful sleep...

As Zeus and Kronos returned, Jon and the two goddesses stood. Jon stared at the God of the sky noticing that he had changed into a more formidable piece of attire having a long red gown and a dark brown robe on. In his hand he held his lightning bolt staff.

"Are you ready Jon?" Kronos asked.

Jon took a deep breath and said he was and walked nearer the Gods as Eos and Gaia also joined them.
Kronos said, "The others will be using teletransportation, but since you do not possess that ability, you and I will use the portal."

Kronos said to the other three deities, "Head for the edge of the Great Forest right near the caves themselves."

As he said this, abruptly the three of them disappeared, as Jon stood there blinking, staring around wildly on either side of him.

"I know that is difficult to get used to seeing," Kronos said smiling slightly.
"And a whole lot of other stuff, too," Jon said, returning more of a grimace than a smile.

Kronos led the way then across the room to the door as the both of them entered the portal room.

They mounted the steps and Kronos quickly put in the coordinates. A second later they stepped through the portal and in a very short amount of time, they found themselves facing a large mountain range, with caves pitted here and there.
Hearing a shout they turned and saw the other three deities a short distance away, wave and began to walk over.

As the other three joined them, Kronos said, "According to Deianera's instructions they should be in the mountain range to the right. He pointed to it and said, "The cave should be the large one in the center."

As Gaia, Eos and Zeus abruptly disappeared, Kronos said to Jon, "We will have to go by foot. I must warn you, Jon, when we enter, it will be best if you don't look at Deianera or talk to her. Just let my son and I handle everything."

Jon nodded as they both started up the path which eventually grew steeper. They could see the other three standing in front of the mouth of the cave, as they wound their way past occasional large boulders laying on the rocky path.
Eventually they made their way up to where the others waited.

Before the five of them entered, Kronos whispered to Eos, "Did you take care of that other little task I asked of you?"
Eos nodded and then Kronos turned, entering the mouth of the cave with the others following...

* * *

Inside it was fairly dark so Zeus tapped his staff, and it began glowing. The cave had two passages leading off to the left and to the right. The one on the left however, had a faint glow of light emanating from the entranceway.

The five of them took that one and in a short time entered a large open part of the cave which is where the passageway ended. The room was lit by several torches mounted on the walls.

On the left side of the cave, there was a figure laying prone on a stone slab. After a second it was apparent to them that it was Hekate who still appeared to be sleeping, but on the far right side of the cave sat Alexis, her eyes growing wide when she saw Kronos enter.
Deianera was standing near a cave wall directly across from them, examining a document. No doubt the contract, Kronos thought.

When the remainder of the group entered, Jon saw Alexis as he rushed over to her. "Baby, are you okay?" he asked grabbing her face in his hands. She was crying but she made no sound.
"What is it? Talk to me baby! If she hurt you I swear I'll..." he broke off swearing.

Deianera had been staring at Jon, shock evident on her face at the fact that her beloved was there and then her shock was replaced by a yearning mixed with tenderness look.

"What have you done to her?" Jon yelled angrily turning his head to look at the goddess. But when his eyes met her own, he had the thought that he had never seen a more exquisite woman in his life. His eyes glazed over and he felt desire rage in him. He stood and started to walk toward her. He had to have her... right now...

But Kronos seeing the transformation come over the mortal jumped in front of him and said, "Jon! Do not look at her! Do not look into her eyes!"
Jon blinked several times and then stared briefly at Kronos looking a bit confused, then quickly turned back to Alexis.
He held her trembling body as Kronos turned around and said, "You have what you want Deianera. Remove the muting spell you put on Alexandria as well as her bindings!"

Deianera still surprised to see Jon, mumbled a few words and waved her hand. Abruptly Alexis, cried, "Jon! Oh Jon! Where am I? Who ARE these people?" Jon kissed her all over her face and said, "Darlin' I will explain, but have no fear, no one is going to hurt you baby not ever again!"

Kronos told Jon to take Alexandria outside and they would be out shortly. Jon helped Alexis to her feet and with his arm around her he led her back through the cave.

Meanwhile Deianera had walked over to her Mother and had just removed the sleep spell. As Hekate awakened she helped her Mother sit up.

Hekate after she got her bearings pulled herself away from her daughter's hands and said, "Deianera! How could you? I am your Mother!"
She slid off the slab, her face scowling.
Deianera said, "Forgive me Mother, but I could not let you turn us in. I had to do what I did.
But I have good news, it is all over."

She held out the contract to Hekate. "You see, both Kronos and Zeus' signatures are on it. We have both been pardoned," she said smiling triumphantly.

Kronos, silently watching, spoke then and said, "I'm afraid that is not entirely correct."

As Deianera and Hekate turned to face the four other deities, suddenly the room darkened to twilight as the torches were extinguished. The only light came from a blanket of shooting stars that blazed a trail across the cave ceiling.

High in a corner of the cave a woman appeared and hovered. Her hair was of darkest night, with a halo of stars on her head. Her dress was made of stardust and a train of tiny little baby stars surrounded her ankles.

"NYX! NOW" Kronos shouted, and then the room plunged into total darkness. Kronos and Zeus quickly uttered some words and then screams and curses broke the stillness and the cave was suddenly lit up again as the torches blazed to life.

The four of them stared at Deianera and Hekate who were now both trapped inside of a large metal cage.
Deianera said, her face furious, "You cannot do this Kronos! The contract is valid! Even if you destroy it, it has been witnessed and recorded. You have to honor the pardon that you and your Son made!"

Both Kronos and Zeus walked closer to the cage and stared at the two women. "I am afraid it is not up to us, Deianera," Kronos informed her. "For you see, even though my Son and I do honor the contract, there is one who does not." He looked at Hekate and then back again at Deianera.
"You see," Kronos continued, "Heaven being the most High God did not agree, and as you both know, Heaven can do whatever it is he wishes."

Deianera, her face an angry red, immediately started muttering some words, but Zeus spoke then and said, "Don't waste your time goddess attempting a spell, for your powers are useless inside this cage. It contains an invisible barrier rendering your powers ineffective."

Deianera then stopped as the anger left her face. She realized then that the game was over and anger was replaced by dismay as her lower lip trembled and tears slowly spilled out of her eyes. She knew now that she would never see Jon again, nor would she ever look upon the face of their child.

Kronos looked at her realizing at that moment he needed to tell her the truth behind the newest prophecy. He turned to the others and asked them to wait outside.

When they were alone, Kronos told her what he'd discovered. Her face totally crumbled then as sobs were wrenched from her body. Hekate took her in her arms trying to soothe her as Kronos left the cave...

* * *

Jon in the meantime had explained as best as he could what the entire episode involved. He reminded her of when she had found herself in the Viking era with Jahn and then told her about Kronos and the whole story. He also told her that a memory charm had been placed on both of them afterward to forget until just recently. Then he told her about the most recent trouble regarding the meddling goddess Deianera. It was not easy to admit that he had made love to Olivia, even if it was against his will, being that he had been seduced by a powerful goddess. During the whole explanation he didn't dare look at Alex at all.
Finally afterward there was silence and finally he put his head up and looked at Alexis. "Can you ever forgive me?" He had tears in his eyes but when he saw her own eyes overflowing, they flew into each others arms and held each other tightly. His mouth came to hers as they kissed each other passionately.
"Forgive you?" Alexis asked, as the kiss broke. She lay her head against his shoulder, and said, "There's really nothing to forgive love. You didn't have a choice in the matter."

At that point Eos, Gaia and Zeus had come outside and then shortly thereafter Kronos appeared.

As he led the way back to where the portal waited Jon asked, "So what will happen to them now?"

"The cage which is a special transportation vehicle, will take them both in a few moments to their cells to await their sentencing," Kronos told him. "My Son will be the judge and it will be up to him to exact the punishment."

As the three of them entered the portal they were transported back directly to Alexis' hotel room.

Alexis laid down on the bed as Jon sat next to her. He caressed her cheek as Kronos whispered some words and then her eyes closed as she fell asleep.

"Come Jon, Ms. Green will be awakening soon. We must leave," Kronos said.
Jon bent his head and kissed Alexis on her lips softly and then both of them left the room.

Moments later they were back at his estate. Entering his bedroom, he walked over and sat on the edge of his bed, as Kronos followed.
"I guess this is goodbye again Time keeper," Jon said.
Kronos said, "Hopefully barring any other interference, it will be for good this time Jon."

Without delay, he repeated the same words he'd said for Alexis as Jon suddenly feeling very sleepy, lay back and closed his eyes.

Kronos gazed at him for a moment and whispered softly, "Take care of Alexandria, Jon. She is going to need your strength in the next few days, more than you know"...

END OF CHAPTER 19

The Adonis Mission (Chapter Eighteen) Undoing the Damage

Saturday, July 21st
Cape Neddick, Maine

Alexis later that afternoon had arrived at her hotel in New York City and had just finished up unpacking her single overnite bag. She had just gotten off the phone with Sydney her editor and she had an hour before she would be meeting with the woman so they could then head to the book signing. Taking out her travel alarm she set it and then lay down on the bed intending to sleep maybe for a half hour, and closed her eyes.

Thalia however had been thinking about Jahn and how much she missed him. Wondering where he was now and wanting so much to be with him again. Before Alexandria left, she had concentrated on the hourglass in her host's bedroom and Kronos had appeared briefly.
She'd asked him if she could visit Jahn again and he told her she could but only for a couple of days.

Earlier, after they'd returned from the past he'd given her a tiny little portal which he told her to be sure and keep it somewhere safe. She'd put it next to the hourglass in the same corner of Alexandria's bedroom but she'd had no chance to leave her host's body so that she could use it, until now.
She'd made sure she packed the tiny portal while Kronos was still there, inside of Alexandria's handbag and Kronos then put an invisibility charm on it so no one could see it but her. It was hidden away in a zippered section and hopefully Alexandria would not discover it.
Now as Alexandria fell asleep, Thalia got off the bed and walked toward the dresser opening her host's bag and reached in and found the portal. Crossing the room she put it in a corner and then placed a potted plant that was standing nearby in front of it.

Then going back and laying back down she did the reverse amalgamation ritual, adding the words Kronos had told her so that her strands would enter the portal. Soon her strands floated out and made their way to the corner and one by one entered the tiny opening. Finally the last strand disappeared and Thalia a moment later found herself standing in the forest in Newfoundland once again.

Hurrying, she headed toward the beach, her heart beating rapidly, excitement spurring her onward to her love, Jahn....

Day, Date, Year Unknown
Titania, The Realm

When Hekate and Deianera vanished, Kronos, along with Eos and Gaia immediately returned to his study a split second later.
Once there, he hurried toward the Immortal block and switched it on. However as he scanned the front of Deianera's estate, as well as Hekate's he could not find any movement.

Turning back to the two goddesses he saw that they were talking in low voices.

Eos said, "Kronos this is the worst news. Could Deianera have been telling the truth? Is Olivia pregnant with John Francis' child?"
"How could this be?" Gaia asked.

"I am as much in the dark as you are, goddesses," he told them. Then he went over and sat at his desk as the other two were seated.

"If it is true," he said, "this will complicate things dreadfully... moreso than discovering Deianera's act of treachery."
He rubbed his forehead and then said, "Gaia alert your sentries to be on the lookout for them both and Eos notify Nyx."

The women concentrated sending out mental commands to the guards as Kronos opened the Prophecy Book, leafing through it to see if he could find any new additions. But after a few minutes, seeing nothing new he gave it up.

Rhea entered the room then and said, "Dearest, dinner is now ready."

Kronos invited both Gaia and Eos to sup with him so they could discuss this latest event further and they both accepted and followed him into the dining room, sitting at a large polished mahogany table. The table had fine crystal and plates of china. Beautiful cream linen napkins were next to each plate with a large basket of wild roses in the middle of the table. On either side were medium tall lit pillar candles providing a warm inviting glow to the room.

As they sat, their empty plates suddenly filled with mouth watering dishes, such as Braised beef, tiny new potatoes, and an assortment of roasted tuberous vegetables. Next to their plates sat small salad bowls containing Caesar salad.
Their empty wine glasses were filled and a platter of mouth watering fresh baked Italian bread appeared on each end of the table.

As the deities ate, they discussed the recent events with Gaia remarking that perhaps Deianera was lying about Olivia being pregnant, or at best, mistaken.
Kronos took a sip of his wine and then said, "Deianera knows full well what would happen if she were to be caught in a lie but, it is possible she could be mistaken."
He took a bite of his excellent beef, chewed and swallowed and continued, saying, "However if Deianera is indeed pregnant with John's child it makes it really risky for me to try and undo. I could of course, go back in time slightly before the coupling between John and Olivia and try to prevent it, but as you know meddling with time sometimes has rather unexpected results."

Kronos remembered an incident in which he had done just that and the outcome had been disastrous. He'd changed an event preventing a pregnancy, only to discover later that the child would have ultimately found a cure for a terrible ravaging disease still afflicting current day earth to this day. The child, once grown to adulthood would have found the cure for cancer.
He only was made aware of that because of a prophecy that he'd noticed several days before, saying that in the year 2000, a cure for cancer would be found.

However after Kronos meddled and prevented the birth, when he consulted the book again, he could not find that prophecy. It was simply erased as if it had never existed.

The reason he had interfered to begin with was that the mortal woman who was pregnant had been raped by Hades his own brother who had secretly amalgamated with another mortal, in order to carry out his plan. But this particular mortal woman had been chosen by another God, Ares, to mate with and once the God of War discovered Hades' treachery, he'd reported his findings to Zeus.

Zeus asked Kronos if he could undo the damage and Kronos' costly mistake was that he should have consulted the prophecy book once again before he attempted to do so.

But with two of the Gods breathing down his neck to set things right, one of which was his son, he hurried to take care of the problem, forgetting to check the book.

Later he discovered that particular prophecy was no longer living. Since he knew prophecies disappeared or were erased when someone had meddled with time and knowing he had been the only one that had done so, he realized the truth then.

Zeus shortly thereafter, even though he himself had ordered Kronos to change the event, forbade him to go back and try to correct it again, saying they could not be sure if anything else would happen if he attempted it, due to all the variables related to the act.

Meddling with time was a tricky thing, and that is why Kronos did not often attempt it.

The deities finished their meal and then once again headed to Kronos' study. As they entered, Kronos glanced at the Immortal block and saw that it was lit up. The three walked over and they found themselves looking into a dimly lit cave, which only had torches mounted on the wall providing a small amount of light.

Suddenly a woman appeared. It was Deianera they were shocked to see. As she started speaking Kronos reached for the control to increase the sound.

"Greetings Kronos," Deianera began, "It is too bad that you and the others discovered the truth regarding John Francis and Olivia. But I do not regret what I did for I am deeply in love with John and have been for hundreds of years. I did what I did out of love and lust for him. I know he will never love me but I so desired at least one time to lay with him and at the same time found a way to insure that I would always have a reminder of our time together." She smiled and said, "It was an easy thing to switch Olivia's contraceptive pills with fakes, as I studied your blocks and found information that you had done the same with Alexandria's contraception."

She turned then and walked slowly to the left as the viewer followed. Suddenly visible now they saw a cement slab and on top of the slab in a prone position they saw a woman. Deianera walked closer to the woman and then they realized with some trepidation that it was Hekate, her Mother.

"My mother unfortunately had some stirring of conscience and told me she was going to confess to what we had done. She was going to go to Zeus and yourself and reveal where our location is. Well you see, I could not allow this." She paused briefly and then said, "But don't worry she is not dead, just sleeping." She turned from her Mother then and walked away.

"The reason I am standing here is because I want to make a deal with you Kronos." She then sat down on another small slab of rock and said, "Amnesty for my Mother and myself in return for something you want very badly."

Kronos looked at the other two goddesses and said, "What could she possibly have that I would want?"
But Gaia and Eos faces both wore twin looks of puzzlement as well.

"You are wondering perhaps," Deianera continued, "what it could be that I possess which you would also desire?"

Deianera stood again and this time walked to the right. She stopped by a wall, and there huddled against it, her arms tied up over her head with obviously some invisible cording, her feet bound as well, sat a wild eyed disheveled Alexandria.

The three deities gasped and Kronos exclaimed, his face stunned, "How did she get Alexandria???"

"She cannot speak," Deianera told them, "as I have put a spell on her to render her temporarily mute."

She turned then and went back to her chair of rock.

"I had intended to abduct Alexandria even though I knew that Thalia the Goddess of Eternal Love and Healing was amalgamated with her, but my plan was to use a holding spell so that I would not receive any interference from the deity.

But when I arrived, I found that Alexandria had left for another city and luckily I found her book with the name of the establishment she would be staying at. Once there I found that I did not have to use any holding spell after all, because suddenly I witnessed Thalia doing a reverse amalgamation, with her threads entering a tiny invisible portal. Invisible to all except a deity's eyes.
I would assume this was done to visit her lover in the past, the Viking ?" She smiled again. "It was simple at that point to amalgamate with Alexandria and after I did, I simply returned to the portal that was waiting behind the Inn."

All three deities were amazed thinking identical thoughts, that they had not given enough credit to this young goddess.
"She is quite the enchantress, is she not?" Kronos asked nobody in particular.

"But be that as it may," Deianera said, "you now see that I spoke the truth. I DO have something you desire. Do you not agree, Kronos?" She stood then.

"In one hour you will receive a contract which you and your Son Zeus must sign agreeing to my terms. You will have two hours after that to make your decision and by that time you must return the contract. If you do not agree, or return the contract, then Alexandria will not be returned to you until after the deadline arrives signaling the closure of The Adonis Mission. After that I will then return her unharmed, as it was never my intention to harm her."

She walked over to Alexandria again, who sat there with tears falling down her cheeks. Her face, a study in abject misery, displaying shock, fear and pain, a sight that moved all three of the deities who watched...

"I am sure you will do the right thing, Kronos," Deianera said smiling again, and then the screen went blank...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A little over an hour later, Jon woke up and crawled out of bed. Shit, he thought. He didn't even remember coming upstairs from his study. He must have been really tired..
He stumbled into the bathroom and relieved himself and as he had a taste in his mouth that was less than desirable, used a bit of mouthwash, then washed his face and hands. He felt a bit more refreshed after that but he realized he was hungrier than a grizzly. Glancing at the clock sitting on his nightstand, his stomach growling, he made his way downstairs to the kitchen.
It was only 4pm a little too early for dinner, but spying the fruit bowl which Fran had recently replenished he grabbed a rosy apple and then headed for his study again.
He sat down and took a bite of the apple setting it aside, and then picked up his cell phone. Dialing Alexis' hotel, he asked the clerk to connect him and waited while it rang, but she didn't pick up. So then he found her cell number and called that, but still it rang finally going into voice mail.
"Hey baby, Jon here. Just wanted to see if you were settled in. I miss you hon... Give me a call when you have a chance.. Love you"... he hung up then and started back in on his work....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The three deities stood there for a moment, none of them speaking and then Kronos said, "We need to see my Son."

"But Kronos," Eos said, if you tell him this newest development he will close the mission for certain."

"Not true, goddess," Kronos replied. "He has to honor the deadline that Heaven himself, put out. We still have until tomorrow night at midnight to work this out and get Alexandria back."

So the three of them concentrated until they found themselves at Zeus' doorway. This time there were no tricks or silly games from the high God they were all relieved to see.

They went through the double doors at the estate and made their way to his study.

Zeus' face, after hearing Kronos out, went through a multitude of emotions, from surprise, to pain at Alexandria's tribulations, to worry lines showing on his forehead.

He was silent for a moment, sitting behind his large desk as the other three sat in comfortable chairs in front of him.

Then he stood and started pacing. He said, "I am afraid things have gotten out of hand. There is only one solution," he said. "We need to make a journey."

"But Son," Kronos said, "We have no idea where the goddesses hiding place is, they could be anywhere."

"I was not talking about going on a rescue mission Father," Zeus replied.

"Then whatever do you mean?" Kronos asked. "What other journey would we be taking?"

Zeus stopped his pacing and turned as three pairs of eyes studied him.

"The journey I was referring to is in the Outer Realm," he stated. "We must visit Heaven himself".....

***

As the three other deities digested this, stunned into silence, finally Kronos found his voice and said, "Visit Heaven? But Son, no one has visited Heaven in eons. The last two or three that tried met with failure."

"That's not entirely correct Kronos" Zeus replied, "for I myself, visited Heaven just a few days ago. Even though I admit it was him who called the meeting, so getting through the barrier to the Outer Realm was not a problem. However I believe that the reasons the other deities failed is because they each went alone. With the four of us going, we have a greater chance of succeeding because of our combined powers," he told them.

Just then a fair haired nymph wearing a gown of silk which floated around her bare ankles, entered the room. She bowed in front of the Gods and then at Zeus' command she walked over to him and handed him a scroll that she held in her hand.

"Who delivered this?" Zeus demanded of the nymph.
"I do not know Imminence," the nymph replied. It was found outside in the entranceway a moment ago."
Then bowing once again she left the room.

Zeus unrolled the scroll and read the following to the others:

I, Zeus, Ruler of the Inner Realm and High God over all, and I, Kronos, Timekeeper of the Universe and Father of Zeus do hereby find:

Deianera, Goddess of Erotic Desire and Magic and Hekate, Goddess of Witchcraft and Magic, absolved of all charges against them including:

1. Conspiring to use magic without the knowledge of the others for their own personal gain.

2. Amalgamating with a host chosen for a mission.

3. Using a seduction spell on the mortal chosen for the mission.

4. Using magic against a mortal woman to cause conception.

5. Abducting and holding the mortal woman, Alexandria Isabella Grey, hostage.

At the bottom it said:

We agree to all of the above in exchange for the safe return of Alexandria Isabella Grey.

Signed: Deianera Goddess of Erotic Desire and Magic

Zeus asked, looking at his Father, "How long did Deianera give us until she expects an answer?"

Kronos said, "Two hours my Son."

"Then we'd best be off," Zeus told them.

The four of them then headed for Kronos' portal room. The portal would take them to the edge of the Inner realm, that's as far as it would go. To go further would be a task the four of them would have to figure out....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Thank you so much for coming," Olivia said shaking the hand of the last of the designer's who would be creating her own special scent for her perfume and body lotions.
As the last of them went out the door, Olivia kicked her pumps off and picking them up headed upstairs. Lord but she was tired after that and since she'd been a bit too excited to eat dinner she'd asked Marie to bring her up a plate after the guests left.
Once inside her room she quickly stripped off her suit and hung it back in her closet and then went over to the dresser and opened a drawer removing a pair of simple track shorts and a tee shirt. As she dressed, her eyes fell on her packet of birth control pills and she still wondered how she could have overlooked them, when she'd gotten up in the middle of the night last night. Unless of course she didn't get up, that she dreamed it for they were laying right where she left them.
Just then a tap sounded at the door and Olivia said, "Come in."
Marie walked in with a tray. "Thanks Marie. You're an angel," Olivia said smiling at her, "just put it down over on the table."
Marie placed the tray on the table by the window and then smiled shyly and left the room.
Olivia quickly sat, her nose in heaven at that point, noticing that there was a strip steak, baked potato and steamed green beans along with a couple of warm dinner rolls. Marie had also provided a glass of wine as well.
Olivia dug into the food as if she hadn't had a meal for days. As she ate she thought about Richie. Lord but she missed him so much, even though he'd only been gone a few hours.
After she finished her dinner she took the tray and set it outside the door, then got on her bed picking up her cell phone from the dresser on the way. She quickly dialed Richie's cell phone and a minute he answered.
"Hey baby! How's my favorite girl?" he asked. "Missing you," she replied. She went on to ask him how his Mother was doing and then went on to tell him about her meeting with the team of designers....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After leaving the portal, the four of them were standing on a tremendously infinite black marble platform that stretched as far as the eye could see. There were no walls and surrounding them was the universe with twinkling stars, planets, nebulae. This was where the entry point was to the Outer Realm. All was silent and motionless.

Zeus thought back to when he had been here just a couple of days ago. Once here, Heaven had simply provided a glowing doorway for him to step through. However there was no doorway presently.

Eos spoke up then. "Your Imminence," she said to Zeus, "how exactly do we enter the Outer Realm?"

"That goddess, is what we have to determine," Zeus replied.

Kronos waved his hand suddenly, using the power to reveal. But nothing changed. Then as Eos was the goddess of the dawn she too concentrated and although their surroundings brightened a bit, it was still quite dark.
Gaia tried then and concentrated looking for any signs of animal or other life in the near vicinity, but all remained silent.

Finally Zeus who was the God of the Air and sky waved his hand and though thunder was heard this too died out and all was as before.

Kronos then tried a vocal message. He said, "Heaven my Father, please allow us entrance. We have something urgent to discuss with you." They waited but still there was no response of any kind.

Zeus had been pacing back and forth and suddenly said, "Let us concentrate and try using our combined powers."

The four deities then stood still with eyes closed and concentrated calling up their powers as best as they could. After a moment they opened their eyes and saw that the darkness had lessened. As they looked up into the panorama of space, they saw a brightly glowing star, which as they watched, visibly brightened and seemed to be moving toward them.

The star got larger and closer and then suddenly formed into an arched doorway to settle down upon the platform.

"Enter," they heard a commanding male voice say.

The four of them walked across the platform and one by one entered through the doorway.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two hours later and Jon was pretty much caught up with his projects. Leaving his study he grabbed his cell phone and headed to the family room. Pouring himself a coke he sat on the couch and then checked his phone messages. Still no voice mail from Alex, he thought. Just as he was about to locate her contact number his phone rang..
"Hello?" he said.
"Hello..." a feminine voice said. Is this Mr. Bongiovi?"
"Yes it is," Jon answered.
"This is Sydney Green, Alexandria's publicist," she told him. "I don't know how to tell you this Mr. Bongiovi,"...
"Call me Jon," he said interrupting.
"Jon, it appears that Alexandria is missing."
Jon said, "What do you mean missing?"
"She was supposed to meet me down in the lobby of her hotel and she never showed. After waiting I got the concierge to unlock her hotel door, and she wasn't there. All of her things are there but she is missing!"
Jon felt a flicker of panic start to set in. "Maybe she just went out for awhile or something," he said.
"No, I don't believe that is the case," the editor replied. "Alexis is very prompt, she's never late and she knew when we would be going to the bookstore for the signing."
There was a short silence and then Jon said, "Have you called the police yet?"
"No," Sydney replied. "I called you first. I'm using Alexis' phone and that's how I was able to find your number. The police, you know won't file a missing persons report until twenty-four hours have passed anyway. Besides if Alexandria is somewhere safe I didn't want to involve the authorities, not until I spoke to you at least," she said.
Jon asked her for her number and then said he would call and see how soon he could get a flight and he'd call her back then.
Sydney told him she already had a suite at the hotel, and gave him her room number and Jon said he would talk to her shortly, closing his phone.
Feeling a sick feeling of dread in his stomach, he opened his cell phone finding the contact number for the airport and pressed the button....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When the four deities stepped through the door, they abruptly found themselves standing on the edge of a high cliff over a chasm that was at least a quarter of a mile wide. On the other side was a huge mountain.
Suddenly in the mountain appeared a face, although it was only a rough resemblance to a human for there were only two eyes, a hint of a nose and a mouth. The eyes opened and were a pale blue and then the mouth began to move.

"Why have you interrupted me from my work?" A voice that sounded like a cool stream in a sunlit forest asked, staring straight at Kronos.

At that all four deities dropped to their knees bending forward bowing low, worshiping their creator.

"You may rise," Heaven said.

The four of them got to their feet again, and Kronos said, "Greetings my Father and my creator. It has been far too long since we have seen each other."

"Kronos, my Son," Heaven replied, "Yes, running the entire universe takes up most of my time." He then turned his eyes toward the others. "Greetings grandson," he said to Zeus and then said to Eos and Gaia, "And to you goddesses as well."

He looked back at Kronos and said, "Now I assume you have come about the recent events that have taken place in Titania?"

All four of them knew that Heaven saw everything, so it was no surprise that he already knew why they were there.
Zeus said, "As the ruler of the Inner Realm, after deliberating I felt that we needed your council Heaven, before things became even more complicated."

The face was quiet for a moment then said, "Yes. Alright then come across and enter the door at the base of the mountain."

The four of them seeing no bridge or anything that they could walk on looked at one another and then Eos said, "Let us just think ourselves across Kronos."
But Zeus said, "Our powers do not work in the Outer Realm Goddess." He knew this because at his last meeting with Heaven he had tried to think himself directly back to his estate instead of making his way out to the platform at the edge of the Inner realm, which is where he'd come from.

Heaven seeing their confusion then, said, "Have no fear, the bridge is invisible."
However the mountain rumbled slightly and then tiny dots of light lit up either side of the bridge showing them where to walk.

Kronos went first, stepping out on what appeared to be thin air, but found there was solidness underneath his feet. Following him was Zeus and then Gaia and Eos.

A short time later, they were on the other side and stepped off the bridge. Before them was an arched black door which stood partially open and the four of them walked over and entered the mountain.

They found themselves in a large room with translucent alabaster walls. At the far side of the room was a large throne like chair upon which a man sat. The man looked to be in his middle years with a calm kindly face, light blue eyes, and had hair that was long and golden blond. He was wearing a gown of white and at the waist were cords of gold braiding.

The man gestured to the couch that was sitting a few feet from him. "Be seated," he said to the four of them. However most of them had never laid eyes on Heaven before and as they headed for the couch they kept stealing glances at their creator.
The last time Zeus had been in his presence he had only heard a voice, but had not seen him.
Kronos had of course seen his Father long ago, but he did not resemble in any way, the man who was before them now.

As if Heaven sensed his son's confusion said, "I have chosen to resemble the image of a man, for my natural form would be too distracting to you all."

As the four deities sat, suddenly on the table in front of them small cups bearing hot beverages appeared before each of them.

"It is a new tea, that one of my minions invented called Starry Starry Night," Heaven told them.
Kronos had picked up his cup and looked inside and there was what appeared to be a night sky with tiny stars twinkling back at him. Kronos took a sip as did the others. The flavor was similar to peppermint with a touch of anise. Not unpleasant he thought as the others agreeing with him, complimented the High God.

"So the facts are," Heaven began, "that Deianera Goddess of Erotic Desire and Witchcraft along with her Mother Hekate, have been interfering dreadfully regarding the Adonis Mission."

"Do you know where they are?' Zeus asked his Grandfather.

Heaven, smiling faintly, looked at Zeus yet said nothing.

"I apologize my Lord," Zeus said, slightly flushing and said, "Of course you do. But exactly what in your estimation, do you suggest we do to get this problem straightened out with as few repercussions as possible?"

Heaven began speaking then as the others listened intently.....

A few minutes later Jon phoned Sydney again and told her that his plane would be leaving in an hour. Then afterward he hurried upstairs and quickly packed a bag, and then had the limo driver take him to the airport.

On the way again he dialed Sydney's number again and said, "Sydney did you find Alex's handbag and other personal effects?"

Sydney told him that everything was there, clothes, personal effects as well as her handbag.

"Were there any signs of a struggle?" Jon asked but Sydney said no there wasn't. That everything was in neat order in the room. "The thing of it is Jon," she said, "is that her hotel key was there in plain site on the bureau, yet the door had been locked."

Then Jon had a terrible feeling of panic and said, "What about the windows? Did you check the windows?"
Sydney told him she had, that they were all locked as well.

Jon was afraid still that someone had perhaps kidnapped her. For Alex would not have gone out without her phone or purse. Yet how could that be, for if someone had kidnapped her how could the door be locked and the key still inside? Unless there had been an extra key maybe.

After he hung up with Sydney he sat there his mind in turmoil.

Worried beyond belief, he suddenly picked up his phone and dialed Richie's number. Maybe Richie would have some input as to why no one could find her.....

Later as the four deities returned from the Outer realm, to Titania they sat around in Kronos' study discussing their plan of action.
As Kronos and Zeus consulted the prophecy book before Kronos would then lay out the steps they would take to resolve this latest bit of drama, Gaia and Eos talked quietly.

"It was quite a surprise, Eos," Gaia said to the taller fair haired goddess, "that Heaven actually wants to bring John Francis into this."

"Yes, I agree, Gaia," Eos replied. Then each of the women thought back to the instructions Heaven had given them.

Heaven had told them that he knew where the two goddesses were, as no one can hide from him, but due to the goddess's increasing command of the dark arts, this entire plan must be handled in a very cautious and precise manner.

Kronos suggested they enlist the aid of the other deities in the realm but Heaven nixed the idea saying there was no need to involve the other deities, the less involved the better. For if they were successful in capturing the two rogue goddesses, all of the Realm would soon find out about it anyway. But best to worry about that later he told them.

Heaven did agree that if they felt it necessary they could enlist the services of Nyx as she already knew much of what was going on with this latest interference, he told them.

He then said that Kronos was to return to earth and seek out John. He would restore his memories of their recent adventure together, in regards to rescuing Alexandria from the ancient past. This would be necessary due to the fact that time was of the essence here, and if John recognized him, Kronos would not have to waste more time convincing the mortal of who he was, as before.
He must try and convince John that all is being done to rescue his beloved.

Gaia and Eos were interrupted then from their thoughts as Kronos shut the book and informed them that no new prophecies were found. As all four of them were seated, Kronos picked up the scroll which was the contract and reaching for his feather pen, signed his name. Then Zeus promptly did the same.

Kronos mentally sent a command for his servant girl and a second later she appeared, and handing the scroll to her, told her to place it outdoors on the landing.

She left the room then and as the four waited talking about the upcoming mission, a minute later the girl returned and said "Imminence, I did set the scroll down as you ordered, and it disappeared a few seconds afterward."

Kronos thanked the girl and she left then.

Suddenly the Immortal block lit up as before. The four of them stood and hurried over to it and saw that upon the black screen were printed the coordinates.

Kronos studied them and said, "They are at the Cave Mountains of Western Titania."
He turned to them and said, "I will now leave for earth and when I return if all goes well, I will have the mortal with me."

Then he walked across the floor and went through the door to the portal room.
A minute later he was on his way to earth.....

Jon, having no luck reaching Richie, closed his phone and laid his head back. He had left a voice mail telling Richie nothing except to call him immediately upon hearing the message.

Soon the limo arrived at the airport and Jon quickly boarded...

An hour and a half later he arrived at La Guardia airport and hailing a limo had the driver take him to Alex's hotel.

Twenty minutes later the limo dropped him and Jon hurried in. As he headed for the desk, he heard his name called and turning he saw a slim forty something dark haired woman approach. "Jon? Hi I'm Sydney," she held out her hand and he shook it briefly.

"Let me take you up to Alexis' room," Sydney said, and Jon said, "I assume you have her key?"
"Yes, I do," she said. "I took it from the room after the concierge let me in."

They took the elevator and a moment later arrived at the fifth floor. Leaving the elevator, Jon followed Sydney down the hall and soon she stopped by a door that said 2318.

Sydney put the key in and turned it and they both entered then.

Jon looked around at the living area of the suite. Everything was neat and orderly. He saw Alex's handbag laying on the coffee table and went over and was just about to grab it when Sydney said, "Maybe you shouldn't touch it Jon, after all it might be evidence."

Jon dug into his jacket then and removed a pair of leather gloves, putting them on and carefully started looking through the purse, but didn't find anything out of the ordinary.

Then he walked into the bedroom. Everything there was as it should be. He saw Alex's cell phone laying on the dresser and picked it up and then looked at her outgoing calls.

The last call was to him about 2 hours ago it said. There was one also to Sydney. He showed Sydney and she said that yes Alexis had phoned her after she'd arrived at the hotel.

"Have you checked your phone messages Sydney?" Jon asked the woman. "Not since I spoke to you last Jon, as my phone is in my room still. I've been downstairs this whole time searching the hotel for any signs of Alexis, questioning people and asking them if they saw a beautiful dark haired woman recently. I didn't give her name though as I didn't want to start rumors."

"Can you go check your phone?" Jon asked. "If Alexis is in trouble perhaps she might have managed to get to a phone somehow."

Sydney told him she'd do that and said she'd be back in a few. She left the suite then as Jon returned to the living area. Still with the gloves on, he went over to the bar and poured a shot of bourbon and then grabbing the bottle walked back across the room and sat down on the sofa.

He rubbed his forehead and then drank the shot and sat the glass down. Where are you Alex? he wondered. He didn't think he could bear it if anything bad had happened to her. He needed to call the police. Something was definitely strange about this whole thing.

He was just reaching for his cell phone when his hand froze and then dropped, for he was staring at a very tall, strange looking man, who'd just suddenly appeared a few feet away from him.

A man who was wearing a long silver hooded cape. The stranger had long black hair and piercing silver gray eyes and was holding a strange object in his hand.
It was a large hourglass and as Jon stared not believing his eyes, the man spoke.

"Greetings John Francis," the man said smiling, "We meet again." He bowed slightly and then abruptly waved his hand.....

END OF CHAPTER 18

The Adonis Mission (Chapter Seventeen) A Prophecy Fulfilled

Saturday, July 21st
Cape Neddick, Maine

Later that morning both Olivia and Alexis returned home as both had various business to take care of.

Richie after finding out if Olivia was alright from that morning's episode at breakfast told her he would be leaving soon to visit his Mother in New Jersey. He'd asked Olivia to come along but she said she had too much work to do right now. That she was in the middle of designing some new jewelry and she would be meeting with a team who were flying in to help design her own perfume and body lotions.

As for Alexis, she had talked to her publisher Sydney a few days ago and would be leaving make a trip to New York to meet with her for another book signing appearance as well as an appearance on the Today show. She would be gone overnight and would also be back on Saturday she told Jon.

As she packed Olivia came by her room and stuck her head in and said, "I'll miss you sis when you're gone."
Alexis assured her she would miss her but she would be back the next day.

An hour later Jon came by and the two sisters hugged and then Jon and Alexis left for the airport.

At noontime Richie came by Alexis' house and he and Olivia had lunch together out on the terrace. They were eating a lunch Marie had prepared of grilled Reuben sandwiches and chips. As Richie sipped his iced tea he said, "I wish you'd reconsider babe and come with me."

"You know I would if I could hon," Olivia replied, "but in few hours I have to meet with the specialist team for my line of perfume."

As the couple sat there eating their lunch, Richie told her how proud he was of her and how hard she worked to make her dream come true.

Olivia thanked him for helping her and as they finished eating said, "Well, I guess we probably should go then." She was riding with him to the airport to see him off.

Ten minutes later the limo arrived and Richie put his overnight case in the trunk and the limo left headed for the city airport.

Later, when Olivia returned to the house she went upstairs to her room. She went over to her closet and pulled out a white linen suit, which had a form fitting jacket and a skirt that ended a couple inches above the knee. She grabbed a pair of white pumps to match. As she went over to her dresser she started to fiddle with her hair intending on putting it on top of her head, but suddenly felt really tired.

Yawning, she put the hairbrush down and walked over to the bed and sat. Geez but she was tired she thought. Maybe she should lay down for about an hour. Abruptly she laid back on the bed and within seconds had fallen asleep...

* * *

Fifteen minutes later Deianera suddenly sat up and then got off the bed and walked to her closet. Stripping off her shorts and top, and her underwear, she reached for a silky short robe and put it on.

The robe ended at her thighs and had a satin belt which she tied loosely. She went to the dresser and looked in the mirror. Deianera smiled at her reflection. But then she grabbed the brush and started brushing Olivia's honey colored locks until they were shiny, laying in soft waves down her shoulders and back. She reached into her makeup bag and applied more mascara and then added some lipstick which was smudge proof, and finally added a touch of blush to her cheeks.

Afterward she picked up the house phone and dialed the kitchen. Marie answered and said, "Yes Ma'am?"

"Marie, I was wondering if you could make a trip to the market for me? I have some guests coming in later and would like Hors d'Ĺ“uvres served. And also Marie can you please stop at the liquor store? I'm afraid the bar needs replenishing as well."

Marie told her no problem and would be back in a couple of hours then.

Deianera left the bedroom walking down to the window at the end of the hall which faced the front and watched as Marie got into her car and left. The sleep spell she had put on Olivia was a powerful one. Her essence or spirit would not awaken until the spell wore off, Deianera thought.

Then she walked back down the hall and entered the master bedroom. Walking over to the house phone she looked through Alexis' contacts until she found Jon's number and quickly pressed the buttons.....

* * *

Jon was in his study pouring over some documents when suddenly the house phone which was sitting on his desk rang.

He reached over and picked it up saying, "Hello?"

Deianera said, "Jon, hi! It's Liv."

"Oh, hi Liv," he replied. "What's up?"

"Well I was looking all around for my earrings, you know those special earrings I was wearing yesterday with the blue sapphires?" she asked. "I can't find them and now I'm thinking that I left them in the guest room."

"Hang on, I'll check," he said. He put the phone down and then left the room and hurried upstairs. Entering the guest bedroom he looked over at the dresser and saw them laying there and then quickly walked to the phone that was sitting on a table near the window.

"Olivia?" he asked picking up the phone. "I found them. You left them on the dresser."

"Oh thanks Jon! What a ninny I am. Well I just took a shower and am standing here naked and wet," she laughed and Jon had suddenly a mental image of that vision and felt a twitch in his cock as she continued saying, "So let me just throw some clothes on and I'll be over in a bit."

"Tell you what Liv, I was planning on going out anyway as I need to head out to a store. I'm almost out of cigs and Fran's out doing the grocery shopping so, this time I have to go get them myself." He chuckled softly. "So I'll stop by and bring your earrings on my way, okay?"

Deianera thanked him and hung up the phone a pleased smile on her lovely face.....

* * *

Twenty minutes later Jon left his estate and got into his Toyota and drove over and parked. Walking up the door he rang the bell and waited.
After no response he rang again, but after waiting a full minute there was still no response.

With a frown on his face he turned the knob of the door and opened it slightly sticking his head inside. "Olivia?" he called, but he didn't hear anything. He walked inside and called a bit louder. "Liv?"

Suddenly from upstairs he heard a faint voice call, "Jon I'm up here! Can you come up? I need your help with something!"

The tone of her voice sounded a bit panicky and without any further thought Jon bounded up the stairs heading for Olivia's room......

Day, date, year unknown
Kronos' Estate,
Titania, The Realm

Kronos was sitting at his table in the prophecy room looking inside the book on the Adonis mission, when he stopped and stared.

Once again something new had appeared. The words were:

Time is slipping away and the damage will soon be done.

Kronos abruptly closed the book. Jumping up he left the room and headed for his study. Once inside he went to a special set of blocks and turned one of them on which showed Deianera's estate. Flicking a button, the video now showed the inside as the viewer went from room to room. Suddenly he stopped the blocks from advancing by pressing the hold button. It showed Deianera sitting on a chaise lounge playing with her cat.

Kronos relaxed a bit seeing that it appeared she was not up to any mischief. He then walked over to another block which showed the mortals involved in the mission and saw Jon sitting at his desk in his study pouring over papers, then he pressed another button and saw Olivia sleeping on her bed.
After viewing more scenes he did not however see Richie nor Alexandria.

The could be both away he thought, but that was not something that cheered him.

Going back to the block showing Deianera he left it on the scene of her playing with her pet and then walked out of the room heading for the prophecy room to retrieve the book. He brought it to his study and sat down at his desk, opening it once again, staring at the newest prophecy. What could the words mean he wondered?

Sending out a mental signal he contacted his Mother and also Eos and asked them both to come to his estate...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jon quickly hurried down the hall and then at the guest room, he opened the door and stepped in. He saw Olivia standing near the window. She stared at him with a pained look on her lovely face and he saw that she was wearing nothing but a silky short robe. But it was her hair that caught his attention. Somehow she'd managed to get her hair tangled in the cording of the curtains. He smiled slightly at the picture.
"Help," Olivia said miserably. Jon lost his smile then and walked over.
"Hold still," he said gently as he pulled at the cord and saw that where there should be a plastic covering, a piece of it had fallen off, and the other piece was cracked. Part of her hair had got caught in between the crack. He pulled gently as Olivia yelped.
Apologizing he gently worked the hair out. He was very close to her and could feel her hip pressing up against his package and suddenly felt it respond. Just as he finally freed the lock of hair, he was about to hurry and step away from her but she turned and threw herself into his arms saying "Thank you, oh thank you!" Her supple body was pressed up full length against his body and unable to stop it he put his arms around her and said, in his soft husky voice, "Glad I could be of service."
However Olivia wasn't making any move to leave his arms and instead she pressed her pelvis even more firmly into his. Jon felt absolutely helpless as lust continued to rage throughout his body. His hands gently caressed her lower back and his fingers itched to caress her ass.
Suddenly he heard her whisper something into his ear. He didn't understand the words and was about to ask her to repeat it and pulled back his head to look at her, but when he saw her face, those sapphire blue eyes staring into his, her mouth slightly open, as well as one exposed honey tanned breast, all rational thought fled.
He quickly pulled her closer and crushed his mouth to hers as their tongues played and chased the other's.
Olivia had worked her hand between him and stroked his hard length through his jeans, making him gasp as the kiss broke. His own hands quickly cupped her ass, knowing that he needed to be inside of her, and he needed to taste her, her essence, because she was the sexiest, beautiful, most desirable woman he'd ever seen.
He bent and quickly picked her up in his arms, his mouth covering hers again, carrying her over to the bed.
He helped her remove her robe as she lay back her breathing quick and his gaze went up and down her perfect body. Quickly removing his clothing, and shoes, he started to caress her breasts and then bent and sucked on one perfect nipple while his hand pinched and played with her other.
After a bit of that his mouth found hers again as he plunged his tongue inside. Deianera sucked his tongue feeling flames of fire all over her body but especially between her legs. She opened them as his hand moved down her body finding her core. He found her tiny clit as his finger worked rapidly over the little swollen nib. Deianera moaned in his mouth and then Jon broke the kiss and kissed down her body until he was between her silken thighs.
His mouth fastened over her pussy tickling her clit with his tongue as her body thrust her pussy closer to his mouth. He gently fucked her hole with this tongue then as his fingertips tickled and rubbed at her tiny asshole.
Then he inserted three fingers in her pussy and stroked her solidly there as his other hand worked at her clit. In moments Deianera felt her body reach the heights as she cried out loud, cumming for the first time in four thousand years.
She lay there her eyes closed and felt Jon shift suddenly. Opening her eyes to slits she found him kneeling between her thighs.
His face was flushed and filled with lust, his breathing quick, as he positioned his throbbing hot cock against her pussy and entered her in one thrust.
Bracing his hands on her spread open thighs he stroked solidly, his head back, eyes closed. The sensations were like none he ever remembered feeling...
But he wanted all of her. As Deianera whimpered and moaned with each thrust he abruptly left her pussy and positioned his cock head against her ass hole which was wet from her juices. He entered her slowly and then started thrusting for a bit as Deianera moaned in delight even more...
Then after a bit he placed his cock back into her pussy and started pounding her, increasing his speed and force of his thrusts. "Baby, sweet baby," he crooned as he placed her legs over his shoulders, bracing his hands on the bed, on either side of her.
He continued to fuck her his mouth finding hers as their open mouthed wet tongue licking kiss consumed them both.
Suddenly Deianera pulled her mouth from his and said,"Oh my sweet love, I think.... I think... OHHHHH!!!!"
Jon felt his own orgasm hit and moaned her and shuddered as he spilled his cum deep inside her pussy. "Alex," he breathed...
And then he collapsed upon her and was still.
Deianera lay there under him feeling physically satisfied beyond her wildest dreams, but was heartsick to hear him mention the other woman's name.
After a bit Jon turned over on his back, his breathing finally starting to slow. Deianera turned her head and looked at him but his eyes were closed..
She knew the seduction spell she had placed upon him would be wearing off soon so she said, "Jon."
He opened his eyes and turned his head and said softly, "Yeah beautiful?"
"You should go," she replied and then got up and quickly grabbed her robe and put it on. She walked to the dresser, and started rearranging her hair, sweeping it up on top of her head.
Jon got out of bed his naked body still glistening with a thin sheen of sweat from their lovemaking and came up behind her as she fussed with her hair. He wrapped his arms around her and quickly opened her robe as one hand cupped her breast, the other her pussy.
"I want to stay with you," Jon whispered and then kissed her neck, his hands continuing to caress her breasts and pussy as her eyes closed, her body filled with desire once again.
Trying desperately to push the feelings away, as well as his hands, she said, "That's impossible, as I have guests coming, you really do need to go." She opened her eyes and stared at him in the mirror.
Jon felt disappointed but he kissed her neck again and then her hair and turned, gathering his clothes together. He sat on the bed as he dressed watching her every move.
Afterward he got up and headed for the door but then turned and glanced at Olivia who was now standing by the window, and suddenly felt guilty and very confused.
He said, "Liv, I'm sorry. We shouldn't have done that. I don't even know what happened, or why it happened."
She turned and saw his confused face and then suddenly whispered some strange words.
Jon said, "What was that?"
She said, "Nothing, just go."
Jon gave her one last remorseful look and left the room heading back over to his house.
Once there he felt a multitude of feelings and on top of it, suddenly felt extremely tired. He went upstairs and lay on his bed and fell asleep shortly thereafter....
* * *
Deianera went into the bathroom and started the shower. As she cleaned herself up she thought about Jon. She knew that the memory charm she had just placed on him, would take effect by the time Jon awoke from his nap. so everything had worked out perfectly.
After drying her body she went back and placed the robe on and then lay back down on the bed. Releasing her hold on Olivia's mind then she grew quiet as she waited for her to awaken. Olivia would have no memory at all of the recent lovemaking her and Jon had indulged in.
Yet even though everything had went beautifully Deianera was very disappointed. It was obvious he loved Alexandria, even calling her name at the time of his orgasm. Why couldn't he love her she wondered.
Abruptly she became aware of the other woman's consciousness stirring. After a bit Olivia sat up looking around confused. She wondered why she had been so tired.
Glancing at the clock she saw that she had slept for over an hour.
She got out of bed feeling a bit stiff and still really tired but even so she knew she had to get a hold of herself and picking up her suit which was now on the floor next to the bed she quickly dressed.
She went to the house phone then and called down to the kitchen but Marie did not answer. She wondered where the woman had got to and then suddenly remembered that she had sent Marie to the market and liquor store.
Rearranging her hair and reapplying her makeup which had pretty much disappeared during her nap, she was then ready and putting on her shoes she left the room and headed downstairs.
Once downstairs she headed for the kitchen and put together a pot of coffee, still yawning. The caffeine should help make her more alert, she thought switching the coffee maker on....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Eos and Gaia both showed up in Kronos's study at the same time and sat down in chairs before his large desk. Kronos without hesitation talked to them about the newest prophecy. He said, to Gaia, "Have there been any reports of Deianera being up to anything?"

Gaia said, "None at all my son."
He then asked Eos, "What about Nyx?"
Eos told him that the Goddess of Night had nothing out of the ordinary to report either.

He got up then and went back to the mortals block as Eos and Gaia followed. As he focused on Olivia he saw the same scene of her sleeping, but then he pressed the control button to advance. This time he stopped it for he saw a different scene which made all three of them gasp in shock.

The viewer showed Olivia and Jon, naked and in the midst of making love on Olivia's bed.

All three deities watched, shock and dismay reflected on each of their faces.

"How could this happen?" Eos asked. "Why would Olivia and John Francis be involved like this? And where is Alexandria and Richard?"

"I did not see this before when I looked," Kronos said. "I am perplexed as well."

He quickly walked over to the block for Titania and looked again at Deianera's estate. They saw her sitting on a couch, reading a book in her library.

"Kronos, check Hekate's estate," Gaia said suddenly.

Kronos zoomed in on the older Goddess's estate, going from room to room, but could find her nowhere.
Then, tuning his thoughts to Hekate he sent her a mental command to join him at his estate.

As the three waited he went back to Deianera. She suddenly dropped her book and got up and started pacing back and forth..

The three deities stood there puzzled as to what the younger goddess' actions meant.

They waited a bit longer but Hekate did not appear.

"Something is wrong here," Kronos said. "I smell mischief afoot."

He went back to the mortal block and saw Jon in the throes of the lovemaking pounding his member into Olivia as the both of their cries meant their orgasms arrival. They watched as it ended and then heard Olivia tell the mortal he should leave. They also heard him say he wanted to stay with her.

Kronos knew that Jon was deeply in love with Alexandria. So this made no sense at all to him.

Turning off the block he said, "I think we need to visit Deianera."

All three of them immediately thought their way to Deianera's estate and once arriving entered quickly to find that the younger Goddess had left her library. Though they searched the entire estate she could not be found.

Giving up then, the three returned to Kronos' study, but Gaia sent a command to her flora and fauna to try and spot her location.
At the same time, Eos contacted Nyx and told the Goddess to search the earthly locations as well.

However at that time Deianera was already back in her Mother's palace. And had already changed back from the shape shifter's spell she had used into the true image of Hekate.

The older Goddess then nervously invoked the Cloaking Device 2 spell and promptly disappeared...

* * *

After a time later as the three deities waited, reports came in from both Nyx and Gaia's sentry guards. No one had found Deianera nor could they find Hekate.

Kronos announced, "I'm going to visit earth. I need to confront Olivia. I will stop time of course and if Deianera has amalgamated with Olivia, I will know. I will return in a bit and let you know the results," he told the other two deities and then headed for the portal room.

Kronos a short time thereafter arrived at Alexandria's home and entered through the wall, stopping time after a moment. He found Olivia in Alexandria's study in the act of putting her portfolio down on the desk.

Kronos walked over to the beautiful woman and said, "Deianera."
However Olivia remained silent. Kronos after a few seconds realized that no one was amalgamated with her. For no deity could remain silent once she was called, especially by a powerful God such as Kronos, while inhabiting the body of an earthly host.

He left then and returned to Titania and as he entered the room, Eos said, "Kronos we have found Deianera!"

The three of them went to the Immortal block and stared as they saw the young Goddess standing by the Sea of Tranquility.

"Why wasn't she spotted before?" he asked.

"My sentry guards say she just suddenly appeared out of nowhere," Gaia told him.

"She must have used some kind of invisibility spell then," he told them. "I found Olivia and she had not been amalgamated with by anyone, at least not when I looked," he said.

As they turned their eyes toward the block again, suddenly a buck deer appeared in the room.
Gaia turned and walked over saying "Yes, Diego, have you something to report?"

"Yes imminence," the deer said, bowing. "Hekate has been located. She was just spotted by the Sea of Tranquility."

The deer then disappeared as the three of them turned again toward the Titania block. As they watched Hekate suddenly was walking toward Deianera. The two goddesses hugged, but nothing was spoken between them. They then abruptly disappeared.

Kronos worked the controls and a moment later was focused on both Hekate's palace and Deianera's estate in a split screen. Suddenly the two goddesses appeared at Deianera's estate and went inside.

Kronos turned off the viewer. He turned to both Gaia and Eos and said, "Alright now we know where the both of them are. Let us call on them and question them both to see if we still have a chance to undo this new damage."

The three of them once again left heading toward Deianera's estate. They found both goddesses in Deianera's study sitting on a large couch. As the three appeared in the room, Kronos said, "We know that you both have been involved in something that may affect the outcome of the Adonis Mission."

Hekate and Deianera both looked up at those words staring at the God of time with serene looks on the both of their faces. "Whatever are you talking about Kronos?" Hekate asked.

"Don't play with me Hekate," Kronos replied a stern look on his face. "I think you DO know what I am talking about and you as well!" He turned his gaze on Deianera but she continued to stare at him her face showing mild curiosity but nothing else.

"I do not know what you mean," she said. "Perhaps you should explain Kronos why you think my Mother and I would do something to jeopardize the Adonis Mission."

Eos spoke up then saying, "Kronos did not say you did something to jeopardize the mission. His words were that you may have done something that will affect the outcome of the mission."

Kronos then explained to them what he had seen on the blocks recently regarding Olivia and Jon.
"Well that is surprising to me for sure, since I have heard that this John is mated to the mortal woman Alexandria," Deianera said, "but why would you think my Mother or I had something to do with this new turn of events?"

"Do you know that if a deity lies to another they could end up serving a sentence in the underworld?" Kronos asked them both.

Deianera's gaze faltered slightly which Kronos caught at once and he said, "I want the truth. Did you amalgamate with Olivia Grey and then use a spell of seduction on John Francis Bongiovi?"

Both Hekate and Deianera stood at that point and then they quickly looked at each other and Deianera then looked back at Kronos and said, "Yes, I did," as the three deities gasped.

"Then I must undo that mischief right away," Kronos said, "as well as alert my son Zeus of your treachery."

He turned but Deianera said, "I'm afraid I have bad news Kronos. You cannot undo what is already done, even with your powers of time travel. "

Kronos stopped and turned as four pairs of eyes stared at the young goddess.

"And why is that Goddess?" Kronos asked.

"Because," Deianera replied, "Conception has now taken place." Deianera stood there head held high and then placed her arm around her Mother's waist.

"Olivia Justine Grey is now pregnant with John Francis Bongiovi's child. A child who will also be half deity."

Then in a flash both she and her Mother disappeared, leaving the others in the room with stunned looks of horror on their faces....
